Two questions. Design a character, meaning dial in/morph our own? And second, age our image, meaning add tears, fading, etc?

You don't have to morph your own, I guess I was looking for overall character design, like face, hair, clothing choice. etc.

Aging: Yes or it could be as simple as giving it a little yellowing like paper does when it get's old. The amount is up to you. No white whites, LOL

Even though the challenge explanation gave me a headache just reading it, what is the prefix for the images we make and post to the challenge gallery? Ahh I see it now, we just put PinUp.... Reread and understood this time!

Seriously, my brain is still hurting from thinking about this one...

I'm probably not gonna join again. First of all pin-ups have never really inspired me, least of all the 50's. Second I've been in an art slump lately, and while I learned a lot in the noir challenge, the overall results were disappointing to say the least and I just haven't done well lately.

I'm working on something else in the meantime. Some back to basics kind of stuff. Since something's obviously missing from my work so I need to find my groove.

I mean not to say that old pinup art isn't fun and all that. But right now all my art feels dry and worthless so I'm trying to do stuff that is interesting to me too to help me find that inspiration again. I hope you understand what I'm saying.

Doesn't help that lately life's been crappy. I have a job, so I can't complain, but I'm reduced to only 10hrs a week and pay was reduced as well so I'm looking for another part time job. SO more time for art but less inspiration you could say.

Will be watching of course~ so everyone do your best k?

Got mine in! Surprised not to see more in the gallery this time around. This was my first time playing with pinup- style imagery. THanks Traveler!

belovedalia, I hope things get better for you soon, we want you to come back and blow us away with your new found skills, okay?!! I go through slumps too, my muse goes off on her jolly holidays, neglects to leave a note or an email and I am just left sitting waiting for her to show up.... Little regard for me, I can tell you! What I have seen of your art so far though is impressive and I know trying to force it will not help but rather hinder you. But, promise me one thing, don't give it all up completely.

Good luck everyone on this one, I think too that this challenge is really hard but I'm going to give it a try best as I can.

Thanks Taylaaz. I don't think it'd be possible to give up art entirely, i love it too much even if I lack skill or inspiration. And I'm sure I"m not the only one right now fighting a battle with recession. A lot of are probably finding ourselves with more free time (oh the free time.... but no money). I managed to add 4 hours to my work week... even though the pay is just a fraction of what I used to earn before all this stuff turned upside down. As long as I'm making payments on the house alright and have health insurance, I'll make it through. Guess the muse didn't like the pay cut and took off.

    Question

Well, I may just get an entry in for this one. I have one question though . . . the image size has to be 1024x768, but I'm wondering if it's OK to have it in Portrait format? IOW, can it be 768 wide and 1024 high?

Edited to add: OK, I just checked the OP at the top and it doesn't state the size of the image. Am I wrong in assuming it's supposed to be 1024x768? Did I read that somewhere else? OK, color me confused.

Didn't read anything about specific dimensions for this challenge.
So I guess anything should be ok?

I finished a picture for the challenge and have it uploaded to the gallery, but I didn't
saw the links with the pictures for examples / ideas before I was finished with my picture, so it doesn't look like anything from those examples. Still hope it's ok for this challenge. If not let me know.
