August 2009 Challenge - Non-Traditional Elves - Winners

First of all, I was VERY impressed with the ideas that you all came up with for this challenge, you all showed us some Elves that were very non-traditional. Congrats to the winners, and thanks to everyone who entered and made this rather hard to judge!

I am going to do something a little different this time, and I am going to state why I picked these images

First Place:
NTE - The Svartálfar Godfather

Characters are awesome, Love the godfather not wearing shoes. He does indeed look like a norse elven godfather. His stern look is perfect over those glasses. His posture and position just screams "I am the boss here"

Second Place
NTE: Jhadia Madonna

Not only is this the funniest thing I have seen in a little while (Well when taken with the "Elvish Brittany" legend underneath, but this image is very well done. Lighting, characters, skin, all superb. And the emotion on their faces speaks volumes.

Third Place
NTE - Guiley Guardian

The colors and feel to this is incredible, it takes the concept of elf back to original ideas and then launches it forward. Wonderful. Ethereal, magical, mystical, and powerful pretty much sums this on up.

Ah, thank you so much! I'm coming down with a cold and feel awful, so this was so cheering! I loved all the entries though, it must have been so difficult to pick a winner... Congratulations to everyone, they were so stunning!
