hold on, I'll get you an answer from Trav now...I know how to do it, but I can't remember..I think you slot it in to another brush and save it out, but I can't be sure. BRB

    Hi, Here is the process:

    - Start with loading one of the brushes that have a texture applied, I suggust any of the ones in the texture paints category.
    - Switch to the Brush properties (F6)
    - Click the + sign next to "Textures"
    - Click the + Sign next to Texture Channels
    - Click on the File button, and load the tile that you want to use.
    - To save this brush, click on the "Save as button at the top of the command panel. Give it the name you want.

Eric do you use paint projection mode with those brushes, and paint right over the uvs?

Yep, It works great in Projection, just stay in the middle of the mesh. Rotate the view to keep staying towards the center

Isn't it true if you lift off the brush though, you have to start all over again?

Re: making new texture brushes for deep paint

No, but the total effects won't "Finalize" until you drop out of projection mode (I just rotate the model, it drops out of projection for that, then when you switch back to the brush, it puts you back in)

Re: making new texture brushes for deep paint

I have a question ..how do I paint the template in prjection mode...or do I have to use the actual figure object to do that

Re: making new texture brushes for deep paint

another question...sorry just learning stuff. when I select a bump map for the texture on the brush is there any way to reduce the strength of it...a lot of the bump maps I have tried are far too strong when you use them and then render the fabric in poser

    thanks
