Manifestation-A had been a total disaster. The xenomorphic imprint was violently rejected by the immune system of every subject, with the best of the results being an elderly man in a catatonic state as he bled from various orifices, and the worst being the explosive expulsion of the xenomorph cellular growths directly through the stomach and bowels. It was a bloody mess, but out of that, the doctor noticed an interesting phenomenon: once a subject was deceased, the foreign, extradimensional cells would drive deep into the dead flesh, bringing to it a certain amount of animation. It would seem as though the "fleshelants", as the arhaic texts had referred to them, would in fact only propagate themselves through dead, decaying flesh. More tests were definitely needed if he were to achieve his goals...
It didn't take long before Xenomorphic Occupying Manifestation-B was born. Subjects appropriated from the morgue served as the test bed for his unholy combination of science and the arcane. In the deepest recess of the facility, the tests took place, three corpses initially, being injected with the strange substance the doctor had acquired from his other-worldly associates. Two of the three were a failure, ending anticlimactic silence, but the girl who was the last of the subjects proved a success. As the serum pushed into her veins, it began to spread throughout the dead system, reanimating the flesh. As she lurched to unlife, the doctor then ushered in one of the patients from Level C, where people were sent to be forgotten, then stepped back to the door of the subterranean room to watch what would unfold.
The newly resurrected woman lunged for the terrified patient with a strength far beyond what she could have had in life. Screams ensued. Dead, brittle nails dug into sweaty, quivering flesh. Her mouth came down hard on the poor man's shoulder, biting through his hospital gown and tearing away a large portion of meat as he wailed. In moments, she had torn away more hunks of flesh, but just then the doctor noticed an extraordinary change: the man's cries fell silent, his face drooping a bit as his skin turned an ashen grey. The wounds she had left oozed with a black pus as his eyes glazed over. It was clear: her condition could be transmitted through her bite.
