SAO SKY for Miki 3 by Smith Micro, is the second in a series of skin textures here at Runtime DNA that ushers in a completely different and evolved style of texturing unique to Poser.

With two years of development time, techniques were employed to take digital photography to the highest level of realism without losing rendering detail. In combination with shader technology that enhances the texture, the ability to render a figure inside Poser with outstanding results is the motivation behind the entire package. It isn't necessary to create giant maps with very little detail, a medium sized map, highly detailed, is every bit as effective, and more so.

When creating a texture with this level of realism, special care is taken to make sure all the blend zones match, are correct, and the details follow themselves all over the body. Sao was a testament to patience and careful planning as Miki 3 mapping is quite different from Victoria 4, and the seams on such a level of realism are deadly. It is very exciting for me as a texture artist to be offered such a challenge, and unique opportunity.

Miki 3 is a wonderful figure to work with. Versatile, with a smaller body and proportions, its nice to have an opportunity to be able to create from scratch and be part of a flagship product release. Initially I converted the Vanilla Sky texture and then considered that she must be softer, more delicate, and required a total rebuild.

We've included some fantastic shaders, beautiful very natural, real eyes, that are based on a technique I discovered while working on Sao, three different eyelash trans maps, and some morphs that give her a very feminine, shape and a few tweaks that make her outstanding.

I used as my standard light/Poser set up, the incomparable IDL Studio here at Runtime DNA. From the time I popped my first render out of the gate, I knew I wouldn't rest until I completed this texture, and worked very hard to get there.

She sings......She is so alive, so graceful, so feminine and very sexy.
