One of the origins postulated for the modern Harlequin is Hellequin. Hellequin was a black-faced emissary of the devil, who was said to have roamed the countryside with a group of demons chasing the damned souls of evil people to Hell. The physical appearance of Hellequin in literature offers an explanation for the traditional colours of Harlequin's mask (red and black).
So Harlequin is an emissary of the devil! What better companions for a Satanistic Clown. Even on their own this pair of Harlequin Harpies are more than capable of creating a Mayhem of Melancholy , a Calamity of Chaos or a Dance of Disaster enough to satisfy anyone’s darker side!
