These lights are meant to imitate popular real light settings such as:

40 Watt Tungsten
100 Watt Tungsten
Black Light
Candle Light
Clear Blue Sky
Cool White Flourescent
Direct Sunlight
Mercury Vapor
Overcast Sky

These are NOT IBL lights, they are simple light set ups that can be tweaked to your liking. Remember that enabling shadows, and raytracing, ambient occlusion, etc will increase your render time but will also mimic real world light in a much better way.
